Die Grundlegung der Metaphysik in der Durchführung

Für den Entwurf der inneren Möglichkeit der ontologischen Erkenntnis muß sich zuvor schon ein Durchblick geöffnet haben in die Dimension des Rückgangs zum tragenden Grunde der Möglichkeit dessen, was in seiner Wesensverfassung gesucht wird. Nun ist es das notwendige Schicksal jedes echten Einbruches in ein bislang verborgenes Feld, daß dieses sich erst „nach und nach” bestimmt. Im Verlauf des Vordringens selbst festigt sich erst die Zugangsrichtung und bildet sich die Gangbarkeit des Weges. Wenn so der erste Einbruch von der Sicherheit und unbeirrbaren Richtkraft des schöpferischen Erschließens geleitet bleibt, so fehlt doch zunächst eine ausdrückliche systematische Durchrodung und Auszeichnung des Feldes. Zwar „Critiken erfordern Kenntnisse der Quellen und Vernunft muß sich selbst kennen …” 23Kants handschriftlicher Nachlaß. Bd. V. Metaphysik. (Ges. Schriften, herausgegeben von der Preuß. Akad. d. Und doch erarbeitet sich Kant erst durch die Kritik diese ursprünglichere Selbstkenntnis der Vernunft.

Die nachkommende Interpretation dagegen muß, weil sie noch nicht und nicht mehr im Besitz der ursprünglichen Richtkraft des Entwerfens ist, sich im vorhinein ausdrücklich des leitenden Durchblickes versichern und so die Hauptstadien des inneren Zuges des Ganzen der Grundlegung vorwegnehmen. Bevor sich die Durchführung der Grundlegung der Metaphysik nachvollziehen läßt, bedarf es der Beistellung des Durchblickes in die Rückgangsdimension der Grundlegung. Dieser Abschnitt gliedert sich daher zweifach:

A. Die Kennzeichnung der Rückgangsdimension für die Durchführung der Grundlegung der Metaphysik.

B. Die Stadien der Durchführung des Entwurfs der inneren Möglichkeit der Ontologie.

LE DÉVELOPPEMENT DE L’INSTAURATION DU FONDEMENT DE LA MÉTAPHYSIQUE

Pour que l’on puisse projeter la possibilité intrinsèque de la connaissance ontologique, il faut qu’auparavant on se soit déjà ouvert une perspective sur la dimension, dans laquelle s’accomplira la régression vers le fondement qui supporte la possibilité de ce dont nous cherchons la constitution essentielle. Toutefois le destin inévitable de toute percée réelle dans un domaine, jusque-là inconnu, est de ne faire apparaître celui-ci que « peu à peu ». La progression même de la marche assure de la voie d’accès [qui a été choisie] et rend le chemin praticable. Si donc le premier effort de percée est conduit par la puissance créatrice qui révèle la direction à prendre avec une certitude indéfectible, il n’en est pas moins vrai que l’on manque tout d’abord d’une vue systématique et explicite des contours du domaine à défricher. Sans doute, « toute critique requiert une connaissance des sources et la raison doit se connaître elle-même “23 KANT Œuvres posthumes manuscrites, vol. V : Métaphysique (Œuvres, éd. par la Preuss. Et pourtant ce n’est que par la critique que la raison pure acquiert chez Kant cette première connaissance d’elle-même.

L’effort ultérieur d’interprétation, parce qu’il n’est pas encore et n’est plus en possession de cette puissance originelle qui projette la direction à suivre, doit au contraire s’assurer par avance et explicitement de sa perspective dominante. Il doit donc anticiper les stades principaux qui forment l’ensemble du mouvement intérieur de l’instauration du fondement. Avant que se laisse répéter, en son développement, l’instauration du fondement de la métaphysique, nous avons besoin de gagner une vue perspective sur la dimension dans laquelle se déroule le mouvement régressif de cette l’instauration. La présente section se divise donc ainsi :

A. – Les caractéristiques de la dimension dans laquelle s’accomplit la régression nécessaire au développement de l’instauration du fondement de la métaphysique.

B. – Les étapes du développement du projet de la possibilité intrinsèque de l’ontologie.

THE CARRYING OUT OF THE LAYING OF THE FOUNDATION OF METAPHYSICS

In order to project the intrinsic possibility of ontological knowledge we must first have an insight into the dimension in which takes place the regression to the ground supporting the possibility of that which, in its essential constitution, we are seeking. Now, it is necessarily the fate of every real incursion into an hitherto unknown field that the dimensions of this field are only determined “little by little.” It is in the course of such an advance itself that the direction of approach is first established and the way made feasible. If this first incursion is guided by the creative power that reveals the proper direction with an indefectible certitude, it is not less true that the field itself is at first neither clearly marked out nor free from obstruction. Indeed, every “critique requires knowledge of the sources, and reason must know itself.”23 Kant’s Posthumous Works in Manuscript Form, vol. And yet, it is only by the Critique that pure reason acquires with Kant this first knowledge of itself.

Because the subsequent interpretation has not yet regained the original power which projects the direction to be followed, it must make specifically sure in advance of the guiding insight and thus anticipate the principal stages of the internal movement of the whole of the laying of the foundation. Before the laying of the foundation of metaphysics can be carried out again, an insight into the dimension in which the regressive movement of this laying of the foundation takes place must be secured.This section, then, is divided as follows:

A. The Characterization of the Dimension in Which the Regression Necessary for the Development of the Laying of the Foundation of Metaphysics is Carried Out.

B. The Stages of the Carrying Out of the Projection of the Intrinsic Possibility of Ontology.
